Round 3 - End Hills at Home

First game of season at home for us - yeah! big turnout of players all excited to get stuck into the game. Endevour Hills turn up with 11 (doh!) oh well, better than 10 huh? With the score resembling a cricket score (i think it was 80-0 to us), we TRIED to focus on what we'd been doing at training, but it was pretty patchy. probably not the most awe inspiring game, capped of with anna g coping a blow to the head, sao spraining an ankle, and marika getting sent of for yelling at referee.

Round 2 - Monash / Box Hill at Quins

On Saturday we played Monash / Box Hill (due to lack of numbers, they have combined for the remainder of the season) at Quins. Unfortunatly, due to injuries, even combined they struggled with numbers this week, so we ended up lending em a few. The games was still good, we actually DID stuff that we'd done at training (shock, horror!) and at one point i counted 5 phases of PowerHouse going forwarded. Dont actually know the score, a lot to bugger-all, i think!

Have you done something recently that you wanta tell your old team mates about? Im not the only one who can write to this blog - you can too! This can be a great way to keep in touch without flooding everyones inboxes. To do so, email Marika - she will add you as a user - and you'll get an auto-email with instructions on how to get started. I (Flo) will reserve my comments on this site to whats happening on and off the pitch with the current playing team, and you all can share stories about whats happening in the big wide world!

Southern States Tournament

PowerHouse women featured heavily in the Victorian Rep side on the weekend. This years new recruits Anna and Tennielle, joined by recently defected Mel Hill (ex Monash, now PowerHouse) had a good run in the back row, Georgie and Rosie baffled everyone at half back and fly half, and Sao, Amber and other new recruit Kylie had great time in the centres running over people.

The games were played at Harlequins, and i must say that PowerHouse showed up the other clubs by have the biggest (and loudest... thanks to Reeksies squealing) sideline contingent.

Welcome to the new PowerHouse Golden Girls Newsletter, keeping you up-to-date on whats happening at Albert Park. The newsletter is now a blog, making it easier to publish, but as a re cap here's a link to the emailed issues from last year (theres also a link over there on the left hand side)
